Daily CSU COVID-19 Updates

 Past 24 Hours

  • Only officially designated essential employees should be on the CSU campus. It is vital to the health and safety of the CSU community, including our essential employees, that all other students, faculty and staff stay off campus and work remotely until given further guidance.
  • Remote delivery of Spring Semester courses starts Monday! It’s important for students to check their CSU email frequently for messages from instructors and other important updates. You can also click here to access resources and support related to remote learning.
  • Our IS&T team has been reaching out to students who indicated a need for technology support via the survey that went out last week. If you still need support such as a laptop or internet access, contact Campus 411 at 216-687-5411.
  • CSU President Harlan Sands will hold a virtual Town Hall on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. ET. He will provide an update on the University’s response to COVID-19 and take questions from students. The event will stream live on CSU’s Facebook page.

 New FAQs

Questions we’re receiving from the CSU community:

  • What is social distancing and why is it important?
Social distancing is the practice of maintaining a greater than usual physical distance, the recommendation is at least six feet, from other people during the outbreak of a contagious disease in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection. The CDC is urging all citizens to practice social distancing to assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19. You can learn more here.
  • How do I access my courses remotely?
Cleveland State has created a dedicated webpage to assist students in making the transition to remote learning. Students who need access to technology resources can call Campus 411 at 216-687-5411. In addition, all students should regularly check their CSU email to receive the latest updates and information from their professors regarding the start of classes on Monday, March 23.
  • Can students, faculty and staff come to campus?
No. Only essential employees are allowed on campus. Unless specifically designated as essential employees, all other students, faculty and staff must stay away and work remotely to help us minimize the risk of person-to-person COVID-19 transmission to others in our CSU community.
