Dr. Anne Galletta recognized for outstanding work by AERA   CISS provides computer science education to secondary teachers

Cleveland State University Associate Professor Dr. Anne Galletta and the Lives in Transition research collective was recognized for outstanding work by the American Educational Research Association (AERA) as part of its Education Research to Performance Youth Apprentice project which aims to feature youth engaged in research with faculty in education research. The need for quality computer science education in high schools is abundant, but the route to deliver never quite materialized. Until now, that is. Thanks to a three-year, $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Cleveland State University has a program in place to recruit and train secondary teachers to teach computer science.
