CSU, CMSD Receive $1 Million Grant to Expand CSforAll Initiative   Debbie Jackson receives Distinguished Faculty Service Award

Cleveland State University and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District have received a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation to expand their CSforAll initiative. The program, led by CSU faculty Nigamanth Sridhar, Debbie Jackson, and Brian Harper, seeks to train high school teachers in the main concepts of computer science to ensure that all students in the district can receive training in the discipline. Congratulations are in order for Dr. Debbie Jackson, associate professor of teacher education at Cleveland State University, who was honored with the Distinguished Faculty Award for Service at the Fall 2017 Commencement ceremony in December. The award honors Dr. Jackson’s exceptional service within and outside Cleveland State, as well as her outstanding overall contribution in teaching, research and service. Read More

Dominique Tapia honored as CSU Class Valedictorian at Fall 2017 Commencement   Faculty and Students visit Kenya to help establish and enhance counseling and psych program at KCA University

A team of eight Cleveland State University graduate students from the College of Education and Human Services traveled overseas to Kenya to join faculty from KCA University to help in establishing and enhancing the counseling and psychology program at KCA University. Read More

Dr. Dakota King-White, an assistant professor of counseling at Cleveland State University in the CASAL (Counseling, Administration, Supervision and Adult Learning) Department of the College of Education and Human Services, has released an acclaimed new book titled “Oh No!
