The Lead

Questions we’re receiving:

  • If I choose the pass/fail option for spring or summer semester, will all of my courses become pass/fail?  Also, if I request pass/fail, can my professor deny the request?
Students may choose the pass/fail on a course by course basis as they wish. Faculty cannot deny a pass/fail request unless the course is one that requires a letter grade for licensure or regulatory purposes. More information on pass/fail is available here.
  • Has the GRE been waived for graduate admission for Fall 2020?
Yes. The requirement for a GRE or GMAT score will be waived for summer and fall 2020 incoming graduate students who are unable provide one due to suspension of testing.
  • Will health professions students be able to do off-site clinical placements this summer if the partnering institutions allow?
Participation in clinical placements for summer will depend on guidance from public health officials, the status of the partnering institution and other factors. Please consult your program director or college/school advising office for specific guidance.
  • What is CSU’s plan for returning to campus?
Our number one priority is the safety and health of our community. We will follow closely the guidance of local, state and federal authorities, and the CDC, on how to resume operations after Ohio's Stay at Home order is lifted. We are also developing detailed plans under various scenarios on how to resume on-campus activity, including face-to-face learning, as conditions permit.
